The International Bridge connecting Bella Unión (Uruguay) with Barra do Quaraí (Brazil) spans the Cuareim River with a length of 670 meters. Built in the late 1960s, it is a combined road and railway bridge.

The bridge is a vital link for trade and tourism between the two countries. Alongside the road bridge, an old railway bridge is still preserved, though currently out of service.

Crossing Information

The bridge connects Route 3 in Uruguay with BR-472 in Brazil, providing a direct land route between the two countries. It is one of the main entry points for Brazilian tourists coming to Bella Unión’s free shops.
